Experience: Minimum of 1 year of cardiac or critical care experience required; experience in cardiac cath and/or interventional radiology preferred.
License: VA or compact license
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

– Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.

Description:
Position involves working in a high volume, high acuity cardiac catheterization lab.
The unit takes STEMI call.
Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring patients during procedures.
The team is oriented toward collaboration and hard work.
There are three labs, all newly renovated, conducting between 4 to 7 cases in each lab each day.
Equipment includes Philips rooms, Medrad, manifold for injections, and specific documentation using EPIC.
Types of procedures performed include TAVRs, watchman, cardiomems, carotids, impella, CTO, peripherals, TEVARs/EVARs, and STEMI cases.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Weekend requirements are every other weekend.
On-call requirements are not applicable.
The clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs, including medical assignments and emergency department for medical holds.
Open to accommodating block schedule at the manager’s discretion.
Local candidates are accepted.
Return staff must be gone for one year before returning as a traveler.
Travel pairs may be submitted but will not be guaranteed the same shift schedule.
Travelers agree to complete all required certifications prior to the start.
Travelers are required to complete up to 8 hours of modules within one week of signing.
