Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Job Duration: 28 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours (3×12 hour shifts)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
Certifications:
– BLS-AHA
– ACLS-AHA
– Telemetry
Preferred Education:
– Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Preferred Experience:
– Experience with equipment such as IABP, Impella, shockwave, and other various atherectomy devices
– Vascular and/or Neuro diagnostic and interventions
Must-Have:
– Experience in Cath Lab
– Ability to function as an intra-procedural RN responsible for documentation, administration of medications, and circulator of minimally invasive procedures such as LHC and PCI
Job Description:
– Responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care
– Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs
– Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
– Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments
– Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnoses, and functional health framework
– Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care
– Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
– Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery
– Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models
– Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Schedule Notes:
– Must be willing to cover on-call for the cardiac catheterization lab
– On-call coverage may include supporting cardiac procedures off-hours and on weekends, approximately every 5 weeks. The on-call requirement, when scheduled, is 7-day coverage, with nurses breaking down the call over 2 weeks.
Language Requirement:
– Proficient in English (Read, Write, Speak)
