Job Title: Registered NurseJob Specialty: Quality Management SpecialistJob Duration: Full TimeShift: DaysGuaranteed Hours: Not specifiedExperience: Minimum of 3 yearsLicense: Current full, unrestricted, active Registered Nursing license in AlaskaCertifications: – Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality – National Association for Healthcare QualityMust-Have: – Experience with data analytics in the collection, analysis, and presentation of data- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Ability to focus and prioritize to attain goals- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or similar certification obtained within 3 yearsJob Description: – Develop, implement, and maintain a strong organization-wide Quality Management (QM) Plan, ensuring integration into the needs of various sites.- Facilitate and promote quality improvement measures and initiatives.- Monitor and report compliance in an appropriate and timely manner.- Offer feedback, suggestions, and problem-solving to ensure improvement efforts.- Use skills in data analysis, chart reviews, and other QM tools and methodologies to execute an effective QM Plan.- Develop, maintain, and utilize knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards, serving as a primary resource for interpretation and application.- Remain actively involved in continuing education and training to keep updated with standard changes.- Facilitate and guide leadership and staff in understanding regulatory standards for proficient application.- Assure appropriate action plans are implemented and monitored based on data and leading practices.- Collaborate with the QM Manager and frontline leaders on quality assessment and risk management issues.- Investigate concerns and trends presenting risks or safety concerns.- Work with Medical Staff leadership on procedural issues related to Medical Staff peer review.- Communicate professionally with all levels of the organization, serving as a resource, mentor, and role model.- Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-coverage of other QM Team member roles. Candidates must demonstrate leadership skills in facilitating and leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively. A strong working knowledge of patient care principles, accreditation requirements, and quality improvement concepts is essential.
