Job Description
Essential Duties:
- Assist customers to exam rooms and obtain vitals while ensuring room is prepped for exam.
- Assist providers with exams, procedure and treatments.
- Perform diagnostic tests, which may include but are not limited to: EKG’s, Nebulizers, Peak Flows, O2 Sats, Vision / Hearing Screening, tympanograms, general laboratory and radiology if indicated. Documents results in EMR and communicates to provider.
- Give injections and other medication as ordered by provider.
- Schedule customers for referral exams, procedures and treatments as needed.
- Prepare customer rooms for exams by cleaning, stocking rooms with supplies and equipment.
- Notify customers of test and procedure results, per provider direction.
- May be asked to screen customer phone calls, gather and document pertinent information and follow-up per provider direction.
- Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.
