Job Description

Job –  LPN (LTC)
location – 39000 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage CA
Shift – Monday through Friday, open 8-4 but daily hours vary based on patient scheduling and prep/closing duties Will be required to float to other clinics
Contract – 13 weeks

 

Duties

  • Performs basic nursing skills; ensures accurate documentation of patient care activity, responds timely to patient requests, maintains a quality standard of care and anticipates daily workload.
  • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
  • Performs within the scope of practice for the professional license held.
  • Assists Registered Nurses (RN) and physicians by ensuring that appropriate data collection and preparation, examination and diagnostic testing occur without error and without delay.
  • Ensures accurate documentation of all patient care activities; communicates data on patient assessment to RN, if applicable.
    Completes patient assignment within assigned shift as directed by RN; evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and patients progress toward expected outcomes every shift, if applicable.
  • Maintains lab and other diagnostic test results and reports to RN in a timely manner, if applicable.
  • Orders and communicates supply needs to supervisor to ensure work areas are appropriately and maintained.
  • Answers telephone in a polite efficient manner; takes clear and accurate messages, transfers calls.
  • Provides timely and appropriate discharge instructions to patients.
  • Contributes to cost effectiveness by using judgment when opening and using supplies.
  • Maximizes free time between patients and other duties to assist with cleaning and organizing workstation, cleaning rooms, and filing; assists other nurses with care, if applicable.
  • Performs patient callbacks with information about test results or for quality customer service.
  • Coordinates breaks and lunch periods with team members so as not to compromise patient flow.
  • Maintains and practices professional boundaries with all patient interactions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
