Job Description

Adelphi is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to provide services to students at a school district in Providence, Rhode Island. The ideal candidates will provide direct nursing care to students with significant medical conditions in accordance with established standards of care and in compliance with district policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Valid Rhode Island license
  • CPR certification
  • Experience with students with disabilities or in special education programs preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students with significant medical conditions.
  • Ride the bus with the student assigned on a daily basis.
  • Follow the medical and educational plan of the student.
  • Consult with School Nurse, Director of Nursing and or Principal/Supervisor.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and maintain documentation.
  • Communicate with parents as designated.
  • Provide services in compliance with established guidelines and standards of care.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
