Description:
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit.
The duration of the assignment is 13 weeks.
Shifts are night shifts of 12 hours.
This position involves working in a fast-paced environment.
On average, there are 5-10 discharges and admits daily.
You will care for patients seeking specialty services.
Focus will be on acute and chronic management of heart failure patients in crisis.
You will manage patients experiencing acute cardiac events and exacerbations of chronic cardiac diseases.
This role involves high acuity patients, IV medical management, and hi-flow oxygen administration.
You will care for patients post cardiac catheterization and/or cardioversion.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is currently 1:5.
All travelers are expected to float as needed within acuity.
All requests for time off must be submitted upfront.
COVID-19 and flu vaccines are required, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons only.
Travelers are required to work at least one holiday per season.
Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted.
Travelers must have a break of at least one year before returning to work as a traveler.
Separation policy is in effect.
Modules are non-billable if completed within the first 24 hours, with orientation modules allowed.
Orientation will consist of 24 hours.
