License: Must have IN or compact license in hand for start dates 2-4 weeks out, or must have started the IN/compact licensing process for start dates 4+ weeks out.
Certifications: ACLS, BCLS
Must-Have:
Strong cardiac/post-operative heart experience is required.
Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience is preferred.
Experience with telemetry, IV starts, and titration of cardiac drips is necessary.
Description:
First-time travelers are accepted.
Locals are not accepted.
Travelers are expected to work every other weekend as per their contract.
Consecutive weekends may be required based on operational needs.
Charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU.
Refusal to float may result in termination of the contract.
Staffing ratios are 1:3-5 based on acuity.
Effective immediately, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers.
Declinations will not be accepted, but medical or religious exemptions with a doctor’s note will be considered.
Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
Candidates must provide 2 supervisor references.
Local residents are considered local travelers for some positions, however, locals are not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER roles.
Floating is mandatory for all travelers; candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
Modules are non-billable; completion is required prior to start.
Orientation is 12 hours and non-billable.
