Description:
The Staff Nurse, RN provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes.
The role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating patients’ plans of care.
The Staff Nurse, RN creates an atmosphere that supports the mission to care, to heal, and to educate.
As the primary caregiver, the Staff Nurse, RN provides direct patient care.
The nurse works collaboratively with other care team members, including physicians and patients/families, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
The incumbent has access to confidential patient information.
He/she makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others.
The Staff Nurse, RN works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager.
The nurse also works under the indirect supervision of the Director of Nursing.
Candidates will be asked to float to similar units.
They may be asked to float to other locations as well.
The traveler will float to similar acuity or lower level acuity than what they are hired for.
Routine weekend shifts will be required.
Holiday coverage will also be required.
