Job Title:    Registered Nurse, Hospice
Location:   Lacey, WA
Pay Rate:   Up to $70/hour or $2800/week
Job Type:   Contract (13 Weeks)

Position Summary:
Hospice RN -Lacey, WA & Surrounding Areas
Start Date: ASAP, Compliance takes about 2 weeks
Shift: 8-hour Days
Ratios: 1:1 (*May visit up to 6 patients per day; 30 productivity points standard)
First-Timers Accepted: YES
Weekend REQ: see on-call requirement
Is On-Call REQ? Every 4th weekend and a weekday on-call after hours 2-3 times per month
Locals Accepted: Yes

Experience Requirements:
1 YR of recent Skilled Hospice Experience (at least 1 year within the last 3 years)
Case Load: Geriatric
Certs REQ: BCLS
License: Must have a WA license or a compact license

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Regularly evaluate vital signs and symptoms to track patient condition.​

  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, including pain and symptom management drugs.​

  • Care Planning: Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.​

  • Family Support & Education: Provide emotional support and educate families on care techniques and end-of-life processes.​

  • Symptom & Pain Management: Implement interventions to alleviate discomfort and improve quality of life.​

  • Coordination of Care: Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and chaplains to ensure comprehensive care.​

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.​

  • Bereavement Support: Offer grief support and resources to families post-patient death.​

Required Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted certification/licensure as an RN in Washington State.

Certifications Required:
ACLS, BLS REQUIRED
