Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in a step down unit.
The shift will be from 7 PM to 7 AM.
This role involves providing care for a variety of medical patients.
Patient conditions include respiratory issues, DKA, arrhythmias, post-operative kidney transplant patients, and interventional neurological patients.
Nurses are expected to manage telemetry patients with medical and surgical needs, as well as the renal population.
An orientation of 16 hours will be provided.
Nurse-to-patient ratios are 3:1 for intermediate care and 4:1 for medical/surgical patients.
Experience in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias is essential for this role.
Ventilator management skills are also required.
Every other weekend will be a part of the schedule.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Block schedule requests may be discussed during the interview.
No call requirement is included in this position.
Candidates must have a medical exemption to decline the flu vaccine.
Candidates who refuse the flu shot without medical documentation will not be considered.
