Must-Have: Strict 75-mile radius from the traveler’s driver’s license to the hospital

Description:
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty.

The unit consists of 44 beds and has a staff of 40.

Ratios are 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights.

Nurse aides are available with a ratio of 1:8, generally 1:10 for sitters.

General orientation is one week, which includes EMR training.

Floor-specific orientation lasts for 2 days.

Experience with Meditech is preferred but not required.

The schedule includes shifts from 6:45 to 7:15.

Weekend requirements are every other weekend, and holidays are as needed.

Scrub color is Caribbean blue.

Floating may be required to all acute care and cardio areas to take care of medical patients or EC for acute care patient holds.

Telemetry is available but monitored on a different unit.

A cancellation policy of 12 hours every 2 weeks applies.
