**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Emergency Room Nurse **Job Duration:** Permanent **Shift:** Full Time, 3×12 (11am-11pm, some weekends), Nights and Days openings **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required **License:** Current State RN license required **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC (required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire) **Must-Have:** Degree from an accredited nursing program **Job Description:** – Provide both direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting.- Deliver care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility indicative of professional expectations with minimal supervision.- Efficiently triage patients based on physical and psychosocial needs and manage patient flow through the system safely.- Communicate effectively with ER Physicians and Mid-level providers regarding patient status changes and results of diagnostic studies.- Respond rapidly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, mid-level providers, allied health staff, and other healthcare professionals.- Direct the work of Emergency Department techs, registration staff, and other allied health staff.- Take direction from the Emergency Department Director, Physicians, Mid-level providers, and Director of Nursing.- Maintain and apply knowledge of Emergency Department nursing principles and procedures.- Demonstrate basic office skills and computer proficiency.- Possess IV skills and the ability to operate both manual and electronic medical equipment.- Conduct thorough patient assessments. **Notice of Pre-Employment Screening Requirements:** – Criminal background check – Drug screening – Health and immunizations screening
