Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Tele.

The facility is a licensed bed Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital.

The primary focus is to decompress the ED and other specialty areas.

The patient population includes adults and geriatric patients.

Common diagnoses include COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF exacerbation, falls with injuries, and more.

Patient ratios differ across units; typically 1:5 or 1:4.

Support staff includes CNAs for vital signs, hygiene care, and other patient needs.

The role includes responsibilities such as monitoring telemetry and medication management.

Technology used includes an EMR system and IV pumps.

Travelers may float to other facilities as needed within their scope of practice.

Orientation includes departmental training for new hires.

Scheduling includes every other weekend and 75% holiday coverage.

Travelers may request time off, with conditions.

Scrub color is navy blue.
