We serve the communities of Seminole and West Volusia County. At HCA Healthcare, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We provide the only full-service cardiovascular program. Our program offers open-heart surgery and interventional cardiology. Electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic services are also offered by this program. Other services that we provide include orthopedic and spine care, as well as robotic surgery. We offer acute inpatient medical rehabilitation and complete imaging services. Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking a dynamic Medical Surgical RN to join our team. We need a compassionate and reliable RN to provide care and treatment to ill, injured, and recovering adults in our patient centered care model. In this role you will be required to make clinical assessments of situations and manage treatment autonomously. You would be part of a phenomenal team that works hard to support each other while providing excellent care to our patients in a collaborative manner.What you will do in this comprehensive data pertinent to the patient s health or situationAdvocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary teamAnalyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issuesIdentify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situationAct as an advocate for patient safety.Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.Educate patients regarding their medications, procedure and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay.Requirements:1 year of Recent (within the last year or 2) RN ACUTE CARE EXPERIENCE (Would Consider speaking with someone that has LTAC or Rehab experience but they need to have acute care experience in their background)Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation. Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.BLS, (AHA Healthcare provider) required within 30 days from startNIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateACLS required within 6 monthsDescription for Job and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Educates patients on surgical procedures.
