Description:

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical specialty.

The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6.

First-time applicants are accepted for this role.

Weekend shifts are required every third weekend.

Clinicians are expected to float within their scope to meet facility needs.

Although block scheduling is not available, guaranteed hours consist of 3 shifts per 13 weeks.

Clinicians may be floated to other units as needed including surgical and telemetry units.

A light gray or silver scrub is required for this role.

Compliance with orientation is required with orientation sessions being completed on weekdays.

The flu vaccine is required unless a medical or religious exemption is provided.

Some modules need to be completed pre-start and are required for both RNs and LVNs.

Selected applicants should be interested in a minimum of a 13-week contract.

Experience as a Charge Nurse and skills to administer chemotherapy are preferred.

General patient diagnoses are medical and surgical-related conditions.

There are no on-call requirements for this position.
