Travel Nurse RN – Med/Surg – $2,044 per week in Washington, DC

Job Description

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Medical/Surgical

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12-hour Day Shift

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience required; 2 years of RN experience required; Cerner experience required

**License:** Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse required

**Certifications:** NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS required

**Must-Have:** Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program

**Job Description:**

– Must reside 100 miles away
– Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
– Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner.
– Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span to provide age-appropriate care.
– Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patients’ needs.
– Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients.
– Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs for assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.
– Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.
– Completes the admission assessment within the time frame established, according to policy and procedure.

**Preferred**: BSN is highly desired.
