– Ability to operate advanced medical equipment and provide direct patient care to medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients needing advanced monitoring.

Job Description:
– Provide direct patient care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning.
– Operate advanced medical equipment including central lines, A-lines, multiple IVs, balloon pumps, Impella pumps, and ventilators.
– Provide care for patients requiring Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy.
– Care for general medical and surgical patients on the inpatient unit.
– Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
– Act as a clinical leader and assist in precepting staff.
– Provide directions to RN, LPN, CNA, Housekeeping Staff, and Dietary Staff.
– Work collaboratively and receive directions from Providers, Charge Nurse, Acute Care Director, and Chief Nursing Officer.
– Flexible in caring for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical patients if no ICU/CVICU patients are in-house.
– Ability to adapt to rapid response and crisis situations.
