Travel Nurse RN – CVICU – $2,146 to $2,200 per week in Akron, OH

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), monitoring critically ill cardiac patients.

• Administer medications, manage ventilators, monitor heart rhythms, and assist with invasive procedures as required.

• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists.

• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC (electronic health record system).

• Respond to emergency situations as necessary and provide support during critical care interventions.

• Float between various departments as required (floating is mandatory).

• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of RN experience in a CVICU or similar critical care setting.

• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications.

• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required.

• EPIC experience within the last year is mandatory; candidates without this experience will not be considered.

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

• Ability to float to other units based on staffing needs.

• Must have a flexible schedule as no block schedules will be accommodated.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Cardiac ICU or CVICU setting.

• Experience with advanced cardiac interventions and technologies.
