Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), monitoring critically ill cardiac patients.

Administer medications, manage ventilators, monitor heart rhythms, and assist with invasive procedures as required.

Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists.

Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC (electronic health record system).

Respond to emergency situations as necessary and provide support during critical care interventions.

Float between various departments as required (floating is mandatory).

Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
Required Qualifications:

2+ years of RN experience in a CVICU or similar critical care setting.

Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications.

NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required.

EPIC experience within the last year is mandatory; candidates without this experience will not be considered.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

Ability to float to other units based on staffing needs.

Must have a flexible schedule as no block schedules will be accommodated.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a Cardiac ICU or CVICU setting.

Experience with advanced cardiac interventions and technologies.
