Description:
An RN in an acute rehabilitation setting with medical-surgical experience provides specialized care to patients recovering from illnesses or injuries.
This role focuses on regaining independence and functional abilities.
It involves a combination of acute care skills and rehabilitation-specific expertise.
The RN may be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse.
The RN coordinates total nursing care for patients.
Participation in patient and family teaching is essential.
The role requires leadership by cooperating with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.
Maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting is vital.
The nurse to patient ratio is 1 to 4 or 5.
The average daily patient census is 22.
Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified during submission.
No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.
Candidates must have their own vehicle, as this is a small community without public transport.
Block scheduling will not be considered for this position.
Candidates may float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg as needed.
Every other weekend and holidays may be required if needed.
