Description:
Licensed for 457 beds.
Level 3 Trauma center.
Stroke Center of Excellence.
Bariatric Center of Excellence.
Chest Pain Center.
Nineteen operating room suites.
Seventeen rooms are blocked.
Average of 50 cases per day.
Surgery specialties include Trauma, Ortho Trauma, Ortho Total Joints, Spine, Hearts, MI Vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics, General Surgery, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain Management, Plastics.
Support within the department includes Service Line Clinical Supervisors, Charge Nurses, Educators, OR Assistants, Unit Secretaries, and Tech Engineers.
Unit-specific equipment includes typical OR equipment.
Floating is not required.
Orientation includes 2 days of departmental training.
Weekend rotation is every other weekend.
Call is required with an average of 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule.
A 45-minute response time is expected during call shifts.
Holiday expectations require travelers to work 75% of holidays.
Requests for time off require manager approval.
Schedule cycle is every 6 weeks.
Scrub color is provided.
