Must-Have:
– Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
– Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
– Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
Description:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families.
Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team.
Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures the implementation of solutions.
Unit is a Medical Surgical unit that sees a lot of respiratory conditions and some substance and alcohol abuse withdrawal.
Also sees general Medical Surgical patients, but a large portion will be respiratory conditions.
This unit is also responsible for patients needing infectious isolation for respiratory conditions.
Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5-6.
