Certifications: BLS, NIH Must-Have: – Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience. – Candidates must possess a BLS certification. – NIH certification is required. Description: The assignment is for a telemetry unit that provides care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring. The patient population includes individuals in need of neurological medical-surgical care. The unit has 14 ICU beds and 20 Med/Surg beds, with a patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU and 1:5 in Med/Surg. The staff consists of one Patient Care Assistant and one Unit Clerk. Nurses may be required to float to different areas as needed, according to floating policy. Candidates should be aware that all travelers are required to float. Unit-specific details indicate a documentation system utilized is Meditech. Uniform requirements include navy scrubs for both tops and pants, with navy or white scrub jackets permitted. Nails should be clean and healthy, and hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed. Visible body art should be covered whenever possible, and any tattoos that cannot be covered will be addressed individually. Visible piercings, other than earrings, are prohibited.
