License: Current valid state license required
Certifications: BLS, NRP
Must-Have:
Sterile vaginal exam experience required.
Fetal monitoring skills and experience, including:
– Use of external fetal monitoring
– Use of internal fetal monitoring
– IUPC placement and calibration
– Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
– Experience administering Pitocin (oxytocin)
– Experience managing/administering epidural anesthesia
Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse working in the Mother Baby Center.
RNs will work both in labor and postpartum.
The average daily census includes 8 deliveries and 15 postpartum patients.
This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery with postpartum exposure.
First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
RNs will be required to work every other weekend.
Floating to meet facility needs is expected.
There is no requirement for on-call hours.
The facility does not accommodate block scheduling.
Travelers must be outside a 100-mile radius to be eligible.
Pending licenses will be accepted.
Time off requests should ideally not exceed 5 days.
Candidates should be prepared for potential shift cancellations, as the facility may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty.
All required certifications must be included during the application process.
Experience with Epic charting is preferred.
Background checks will be conducted, and any unresolved cases will need to be addressed before employment.
Travelers must refrain from applying if they have worked as a permanent staff or per diem employee within the past year.
Candidates must complete pre-start modules that are required.
Orientation will be 8 hours and is non-billable.
