Experience: Minimum 1 year required
License: Active IL license required
Certifications: BLS and NIH required, ACLS preferred
Must-Have:
– Experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown
– Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills
– Cardiovascular experience including post-cardiac angiogram, post-MI, pre/post-cardiac cath, and surgery
– IV therapy/phlebotomy skills
Job Description:
– Work as a Stepdown/PCU RN on 3×12 nights; 4×12 schedule can be accommodated based on preference
– Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, utilize rapid response teams
– Deliver care for post-cardiac angiogram, MI, and pre/post cardiac cath/surgery
– Manage feeding tube and pre/post hemodialysis care
– Perform central line care, phlebotomy, and PICC line management
– Administer medications including heparin protocols, cardiac drips, and procedural sedation
– Care for ventilated patients and manage tracheostomy
– Handle respiratory equipment including CPAP/BIPAP and high-flow nasal cannula
– Provide orthopedic care for trauma, nerve blocks, and joint replacements
– Address wound care and isolation precautions
– Able to float within scope as needed to meet facility requirements
Hospital Highlights:

Additional Information:
– Work every other weekend
– Locals accepted; no radius restriction
– No on-call requirement
– Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
– Modules completed virtually on the first day; orientation includes 16 non-billable hours
