Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Telemetry

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Nights, 19:00-07:00

Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours weekly

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Cardiac Telemetry

License: Current RN License eligible or current in the state of Missouri

Certifications:
– Required: BLS from AHA, 4 trauma credits (must be completed within the first two weeks from start if not already obtained), NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start)
– Preferred: ACLS from AHA

Must-Have:
– 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Telemetry experience

Job Description:
– Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care.
– Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
– Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
– Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
– Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
– Perform duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, values, and service standards of the healthcare facility.

– Collaborate with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
– Work conditions include standing and walking most of the time, meeting specific physical demands, and handling high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
– Physical demands involve bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance, and pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs.
– Be prepared to work differing schedules, shifts, and days according to patient care requirements.
