**Job Title:** Critical Care Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Cardiovascular ICU, Critical Care

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Night Shift

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 3 years in critical care

**License:** Current State RN Licensure

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, PALS

**Must-Have:** Degree from an Accredited Nursing Program, advanced nursing principles and procedures knowledge, critical care, CVICU, and open heart experience preferred

**Job Description:**

– Provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in a cardiac medical surgical unit.
– Deliver physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients.
– Manage a diverse patient population including pediatrics, pre and post PCI care, pacemaker patients, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, and sepsis.
– Operate advanced medical equipment including central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, A-lines, and handle patients requiring short-term ventilation support.
– Administer care for general medical and surgical patients on the in-patient unit.
– Apply skilled assessment and intervention tools to identify potential deteriorating conditions.
– Implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
– Provide direct patient care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning.
– Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff.
– Work cooperatively with providers, healthcare professionals, and allied health staff.

This position does not require holiday coverage.
