Description:
Provide nursing care to patients in Med/Surg.
Utilize nursing process to meet the needs of patients of all ages.
Conduct assessments, planning (discharge, nursing care), implementation, and evaluation.
Perform treatment in a safe and effective manner.
Administer medications in a safe and timely manner.
Maintain responsibility for preparation, interpretation, and evaluation of test data.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills to act appropriately in emergency situations.
Participate in the education and counseling of patients and their significant others regarding the plan of care.
Show commitment to professional growth and competency.
Complete periodic mandatory education as required.
Promote positive interpersonal relationships and demonstrate effective communication skills.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient and hospital information.
Practice according to professional and ethical standards.
Function as a professional nurse in accordance with applicable Nurse Practice Acts.
Provide care to patients in the Medical/Surgical floor.
Participate in committees as assigned.
Perform duties in accordance with all applicable laws and regulatory standards.
Carry out tasks aligned with organizational vision, mission, and goals.
Fulfill other duties as assigned.
