– IV insertion
– Blood draws
– PICC/Central Line management
– Dialysis Fistula management
– CPAP/BiPAP
– Trach care
– Peritoneal dialysis
– Epidural/PCA pump management
– Feeding tube management
– Continuous bladder irrigation
– Wound vac management

Description:

The RN will work in a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit.

The unit features bedside monitors and emphasizes teamwork.

The RN will care for patients with conditions including sepsis, stroke, CHF, and COPD.

The patient ratio is 4 to 1.

The RN is required to read telemetry strips and may need to titrate medications.

Common medications administered include Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone.

The RN will be responsible for a variety of medical equipment, including bedside monitors, bladder scanners, and vein finders.
