Description:
Ratios are 1:6.
First-timers are accepted.
Every other weekend is required.
Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced inpatient surgical unit.
Will accept pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above depending on the surgical procedure.
Experience required in general surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine surgery, and bariatric surgery.
Scheduler cannot guarantee block scheduling, but will try to group shifts together if available.
Orientation consists of 16 hours.
Fit testing is required.
Travelers must comply with health policies regarding facial hair for fit testing.
If one holiday falls in the assignment, expect to work it; if two holidays, expect to work one; if three, expect to work two.
Any requests for time off must be included in submission covers and assignment confirmation documents.
Medical marijuana cards are not accepted.
Zero-tolerance policy for prohibited substances is enforced.
