Must-Have:
– 5 years of nursing experience
– 1 year of ICU or ED experience preferred
– Comfortable floating to various units
– Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
– Strong problem-solving skills

Description:
The role involves providing care across multiple units with varying acuity levels.
Floating to the Emergency Department or Critical Care Unit may occur if within skillset.
The assigned units may include Critical Care, Intermediate Care, Medical-Surgical, and Skilled Care.
Patient ratios will vary depending on the unit, ranging from 1:2-3 in Critical Care to 1:8-10 in Skilled Care.
Nurses in the Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit are required to titrate critical drips.
Common patient diagnoses include NSTEMI, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, and heart disease.
Nurses will administer treatments and manage respiratory equipment while troubleshooting issues.
Telemonitoring is available with expectations for nurses to read and interpret their own strips.
Self-scheduling for three 12-hour shifts per week is permitted, with flexibility to assist with permanent staffing gaps.
Weekend work is required every other weekend, with potential involvement in holiday rotations.
Assignments will be communicated via text message two hours prior to shift start.
Dress code consists of navy blue scrubs.
Orientation includes one day with a preceptor and additional orientation to one unit before independent practice.
Charting is conducted using a designated system.
