Description:

This position is for a travel Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical care.

The shift is from 7 PM to 7 AM.

The unit has a capacity of 29 beds, with potential overflow accommodations for adults in pediatrics, reaching a total of 39 beds.

When at full capacity, a charge nurse is assigned along with 8 registered nurses and an auxiliary care team during the day shift.

The night shift also consists of a charge nurse, 8 registered nurses, and an auxiliary care team.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 5:1.

The unit utilizes remote telemetry and has an electronic medical record system in place.

Candidates should expect to care for post-operative surgical patients and manage some cardiac drips, including amiodarone and diltiazem, as well as heparin drips.

The ideal candidate is a hard worker, has a fun personality, and high energy.
