Certifications: ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, CPI, RNCPI
Must-Have:
2 years experience in Labor & Delivery Unit required
First-time travelers accepted with 2 years experience
On-call requirement: 12 hours per 2 weeks
Weekend requirement: 2-4 weekend shifts per month
Float requirement: Lateral float to sister units
Description:
The role involves working in a Labor Unit/Triage setting.
Patient diagnoses include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, pre-eclampsia, hypertension, and diabetes-related conditions.
Special procedures in the unit include D&C, tubal ligation, amniocentesis, and epidural/spinal anesthesia.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2.
Scrubs will be provided.
Special equipment used includes JADA, Alaris pumps, birthing beds, fetal monitors, Periwatch, and ultrasound machines.
References from 2 supervisors or managers will be required prior to contract start.
Candidates must have an updated NURSYS report submitted before initiation.
Orientation consists of 8 hours non-billable training.
All necessary certifications must be obtained prior to starting the position.
