Description:
This position involves general nursing duties.

The primary responsibilities include assessing and medicating patients.

You will recover catheterization lab patients and thoracic patients.

The unit utilizes EPIC charting and Med Pyxis for medication administration.

External Agency nurses will float to other units as needed.

Inpatient units may include ICU, Step Down, Tele, and Med-Surg.

Nurse to patient ratios vary: 1:4-5 during the evening and 1:5-6 overnight.

The dress code requires scrubs.

Orientation includes three shifts with a preceptor on the unit.

You will also complete EPIC training and Healthstream education modules.

The unit has a total of 70 beds.

Floating will occur based on competency and unit needs.

This position may require working every other weekend and holiday.
