Description:
The position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
The shift is 10 hours with a start time of 0730.
Required call is included, and the nurse will float as needed.
Orientation consists of 12 hours depending on skill level.
The average number of cases per day is around 10.
The primary responsibilities include all cardiac invasive procedures, except for structural heart procedures.
Peripheral procedures such as carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostic and intervention are also included.
The nurse is expected to be on call for holidays, with assignments rotating.
Response time for call duty is required within 30 minutes.
Candidates must hold current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
Additional notes indicate a preference for candidates with experience in both Cath Lab and peripheral procedures.
Floating to other units may occur, and assignments will be made based on staffing needs.
Cancellation by the facility can occur up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
Charting is conducted using an electronic medical record system.
This role is set in an acute care setting with a trauma level of 2.
