Experience: Minimum of two years of acute care experience in the specialty within the last three years is required.

License: Must hold a valid nursing license.

Certifications: BLS & ACLS certified through American Heart Association only.

Must-Have: Strong skills in cardiac/thoracic procedures, including ECMO, CABG, LVAD, and thoracic robotic surgery.

Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work with a multidisciplinary team to plan patient care in the operating room in a timely manner.

The RN will communicate and coordinate operating room activities to facilitate efficiency in surgical case progression and turnover between cases.

This role involves implementing safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care plans to the perioperative patient’s level of complexity.

Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and/or acuity adaptable areas is essential.

Call requirements include one weekday call and every fourth or fifth weekend.

The RN may have shifts scheduled in multiple units depending on current staffing needs.

Travelers must complete orientation prior to starting and must pass a telemetry exam with strict criteria.

This role includes participation in scheduled weekend rotations and some holidays as required.

The RN should be prepared for floating to other units if the primary unit no longer has a need.

Orientation is approximately one week and will provide the necessary training for success in this position.
