Description:
Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of assignment.
Passing this test is required to work on the telemetry/med surg unit.
Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.
Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Provides high-quality care to geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patient populations.
Floating is a requirement for any non-critical care inpatient units.
Floating to the emergency department may occur if there are boarded patients.
If the traveler has critical care experience, occasional floating to critical care units may be possible.
Rotation is required every other weekend.
Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights.
Med/surg ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
