Description:
Local candidate rule applies; travelers must reside 101 miles or more from the facility.
Unit features 2 suites/labs with an average of 5-10 IR cases and 4-7 CT cases per day.
Candidates must have experience in sedation and reversing sedation.
Job duties include preparing patients in the holding area before procedures and communicating with providers about patient status.
Nurses will be involved in sedation administration.
The facility provides IR, CT, Specials, and Ultrasound services.
The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
Shifts consist of 4 ten-hour workdays.
On-call requirements include 14-15 days every 12 weeks, including weekends.
Weekend coverage requires 2 weekends per 12 weeks.
Holiday call is rotated among staff.
Response time for on-call duties is 30 minutes.
Floating is not required outside of IR but may occur between hospitals.
Scrub colors are navy or royal blue.
Unit-specific orientation depends on experience, lasting 1-2 weeks.
Feedback from doctors is encouraged, and nurses should feel comfortable providing input regarding sedation.
The team consists of highly skilled providers, including tenured radiologists and vascular surgeons.
Cancellation policy allows for the client to cancel up to two shifts per assignment without penalty.
