Description:
This is an IR PACU position.
Shifts rotate with start times of 6 a.m., 7 a.m., or 8 a.m.
Call is not required yet but will be required in the near future.
Shift times vary according to the needs of the unit.
The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week.
Candidates must have IR PACU experience with phase 1 recovery as well as ICU experience.
Response time for call is one hour.
Weekday call hours are from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Weekends are divided into two shifts: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Weekend call begins Saturday at 6 a.m. and ends Monday morning at 6 a.m.
Floating requirements include transferring any remaining patients to the main PACU for completion of recovery.
The IR PACU team is responsible for recovering IR PACU patients in the main PACU.
Call frequency is anticipated to be 2-3 shifts per schedule period of six weeks.
Modules are billable and average 6.5 hours; they are completed during orientation and annually.
Orientation consists of 8 hours of non-billable training.
