Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
Must-Have:
– Charge nurse experience preferred
– Telemetry experience preferred
– Stable trached ventilator management experience preferred
– Pressor support experience preferred
Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit may lead to a cancellation.
Ratios are set at 1:4.
Nights of 36 or 48 hours are accepted.
If working 48, there will be no additional hours billed until after 48 hours.
RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days.
Contracts of 13-26 weeks are accepted.
There is a float requirement, with travelers floating first.
If floating to a lower level of care, the ratio may increase by one patient.
Staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic events or disasters.
Patients may present with conditions such as stroke and other neuro medical diagnoses.
Unit systems include EPIC and Pyxis for medication, documentation, and communication.
Orientation is 24 hours in duration.
Scrubs are to be navy.
Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty.
Candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions or special requests.
Travel pairs are allowed but must work on different units.
Fatigue policy states travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row or over 60 hours in a week.
Modules are non-billable and must be completed pre-start and annually.
Orientation hours are not billable.
