CNOR certification
PALS certification
Must-Have:
Ability to scrub and circulate is necessary
Description:
The RN First Assist works in collaboration with surgeons and healthcare team members to facilitate optimal outcomes for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
The RN practicing as a first assistant in surgery functions in an expanded perioperative nursing role.
This position provides developmentally appropriate patient care using the nursing process under the direct supervision of the surgeon.
The RN applies knowledge, skills, and critical thinking necessary to assist in performing a safe operation.
The RN develops an individualized nursing plan of care in response to specific patient needs within a defined scope of practice and AORN standards.
The position requires working four weekdays out of the week on a rotating call schedule that includes weekdays and weekends.
