License: Compact State Nursing License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Certifications Required
Must-Have: Epic EMR Experience Preferred

Description:

Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during the shift.

Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.

Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.

Coordinate patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team.

Initiate, utilize, and document appropriate protocols and standards of care.

Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and document according to policy.

Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care.

Assume responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.

Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
