Description:
This position is in a 225-bed specialty care hospital.
The hospital includes institutes for heart & vascular care, cancer treatment, brain & spine, rehab, behavioral health, and more.
The unit is a Level 2 ICU with an open heart program, cath lab, neuro surgery, and CRRT programs.
The hospital is a designated Level II Trauma Center.
The unit has 24 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2 for ICU and 1:3 for IMCU.
Equipment used includes Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, ventilators, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen.
The electronic health record system used is Cerner.
The patient population includes adults and covers post-open heart, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU, post-stroke with lytics, post-craniotomy, and septic shock cases.
A positive team player personality is preferred.
Dress code requires scrubs in Galaxy, Royal, or navy blue, excluding hoodies and open-toed shoes.
The position requires the nurse to be willing to float and work every other weekend.
There is no scheduled call, but there may be unscheduled calls if census drops in the unit.
