Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a specialization in Medical Surgical care.
The position is on a 36-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:6.
Candidates should have experience in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, colostomy care, and feeding tube management.
Experience in pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure is required.
The role involves accessing ports, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line management.
Skills in phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting IVs, and using Heparin are necessary.
The position requires managing PCA, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and ortho trauma.
Experience with total joint replacements and surgical drains is preferred.
Competency in HFNC, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, oxygen face masks, and portable oxygen tanks is expected.
Candidates should manage tracheostomy care and wound care.
Weekend shifts are required for half of the scheduled shifts.
The role involves floating to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed.
Orientation involves several modules which are completed onsite during training.
This is a non-local traveler position, and candidates from specified counties are not considered.
