Shift: Day 3×12-Hour (07:00 – 19:30)
Guaranteed Hours: 1 shift may be called off per 2 weeks
Experience: 2 years required
License: Must have a South Carolina license or Compact license prior to start
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIH preferred
Must-Have: Tele competency

Job Description:

– Provide direct patient care in a Level III Trauma, acute care hospital setting
– Work with a patient ratio of 1:6-7
– Required to work every other weekend
– No on-call requirements
– Must be willing to float within the scope to meet facility needs and work between similar units
– Previous charge experience and experience in a community hospital are preferred
– Wear Royal Blue scrubs
– Candidates are open to requesting approval for block schedules prior to the assignment
– Complete orientation with 16 non-billable hours
– Complete pre-start modules, average 4 hours non-billable
– Be prepared for assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
– Complete all required time off (RTO) requests at the time of submission
– Candidates with 7 days or less of non-holiday RTO may receive auto offers if they pass clinical requirements

Additional Notes: Compliance with flu vaccine requirements is mandatory, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons. Hurricane season considerations are crucial, and previous permanent staff requires a year gap before returning as travelers. Ensure South Carolina license process completion before starting.
