Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Device

Job Specialty: Cardiac Device RN – Clinic/Outpatient

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 8-hour days with staggered start times, Monday to Friday (6:30 AM – 3 PM, 7 AM – 3:30 PM, 8:30 AM – 5 PM)

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience: Minimum 2 years

License: Yes, willing to wait

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS)

Must-Have: Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS); Prefer Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS)

Job Description:
– Manage cardiac devices, perform post-operative wound checks, and provide remote monitoring of devices.
– Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team for optimal patient care.
– Cover both inpatient and outpatient settings without traveling to satellite locations.
– Use charting systems Cerner and Contado, with training provided if needed.
– Work in a supportive environment with permanent staff and device representatives available.
– Follow set clinic hours with no weekend or holiday requirements.
– Complete a general orientation including Cerner and a preceptor period for training.
– Adhere to a dress code of Royal Blue scrubs.
– Engage in workload that varies daily with planned clinic visits, peri-operative management, remote monitoring, and device consults.
