Job Title: Staff Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Surgical Specialties – Plastics, Surgery, Medicine, Breast, Flaps, ENT
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3rd Shift, 12-hour nights, up to every other weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice required. Must have experience in vascular checks and post-surgical cases. Preference for candidates with tracheostomy experience.
License: Current Registered Nurse License required from any participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
Must-Have:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
– Enrollment in a BSN or higher nursing degree program is required upon hire for non-BSN nurses with less than one year of experience. Must complete the degree within 5 years of enrollment or 6 years if pursuing an MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing.

– Participate in interprofessional teams to evaluate clinical care or health services.
– Advocate for resources, including technology, that enhance nursing practice.
– Manage patient flow effectively in partnership with hospital leaders.
– Promote a safe and healthy practice environment, reducing environmental health risks.
– Communicate environmental health risks and exposure reduction strategies.
– Assess communication skills in encounters with patients, families, and colleagues.
