Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Telemetry
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Every other weekend + 4th shift per month)
Guaranteed Hours: 34.50 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting with Telemetry/Medical-Surgical experience
License: Valid RN License
Certifications:
– Basic Life Support (BLS)
– Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Must-Have:
– 2 years of Telemetry and Med-Surg experience
– 1 year of travel experience for travel positions
– EPIC experience preferred
– Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate degree considered with experience or active BSN Program enrollment
Job Description:
– Provide safe, competent, and quality care based on nursing theory and research.
– Deliver patient care by applying the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care, along with critical thinking skills.
– Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care.
– Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in plan development, implementation, and evaluation of care.
– Prioritize all patient care aspects, including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning post-hospital care, and delegating as appropriate.
– Educate patients and caregivers about their care plan, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
– Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
– Manage assignments within the Modified Primary Nursing Care Delivery Model.
– Demonstrate allocation of material resources effectively.
– Role model Relationship-Centered Care, focusing on Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, and high-risk areas.
– Maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and families, considering their values, preferences, and cultural diversity.
– Use evidence-based practices to understand patients’ perceptions of care.
– Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care by identifying and escalating barriers and improvement opportunities.
– Collaborate with teams to implement quality improvement projects and evidence-based practice activities.
– Contribute to quality and safety practices and required compliance measures.
– Facilitate patient throughput and document care accurately.
– Advance clinical competence in nursing practice, progressing from novice to expert.
– Encourage and demonstrate a spirit of scholarship and life-long learning.
– Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils and nursing committees.
