Job Description:
– Work within a 28-bed unit, focusing on adult Med-Surg patients, typically aged 65 and older, with conditions such as COPD, CHF, delirium, dementia, UTI, PNA, flu, and wounds.
– Manage patient ratios with RN: 1:5-6, LPN: 1:5-6, CNA: 1:7-10 for both day and night shifts.
– Collaborate with and support interdisciplinary departments, including CNA, charge RN, phlebotomy, IV/VAT Team, RR/Code team, nurse mentors, and house supervisors.
– Engage in telemetry monitoring with remote monitoring for patients with tele ordered.
– Utilize technology such as EMR (Epic), BD Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell for medication dispensing, and Patient Safety Net monitors across all patients.
– Employ specific unit equipment like Hoyer lifts, Sara Stedy, and Air Tap Systems.
– Be open to floating within the region and scope of practice and across facilities as needed.
– Maintain professional appearance with navy blue scrubs.
– Participate in a two-day orientation including facility and departmental induction.
