**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Cardiac PACU

**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks

**Shift:** Day 3×12-Hour (06:45 – 19:15)

**Guaranteed Hours:** May be called off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment.

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years required

**License:** Active Illinois State License required

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, and PALS required

**Must-Have:** Clinician may be required to float within the main PACU as needed.

**Job Description:**

– Opportunity for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
– Work in an acute care hospital that is a Level I trauma center and Magnet hospital/facility.
– The facility has a total of 562 staffed beds.
– Scrub color: Any solid color.
– Requires experience with charting in Cerner.
– Orientation involves 16 non-billable hours.
– The candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
– Discuss any requested time off with the manager.
– Open to accommodating a block schedule; discuss schedule requests with the manager.
– Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction.
– The flu vaccine is required with provisions for medical or religious exemptions.
– Candidates will float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby as needed.
– The position requires completion of modules virtually on the first day, then annually.
